Job Title: IT Business Analyst

Salary: £35,000 - £42,500
We are hiring for an IT Business Analyst for an established organisation based in Birmingham. This role is pivotal in aligning IT solutions with business objectives, driving efficiency, and supporting innovation within the company.
As an IT Business Analyst, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business, facilitating workshops, gathering and documenting business requirements, and identifying areas for process improvement. You will also play a key role in solution design, project management, and the successful deployment of IT systems that align with business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and clarify business requirements.
- Process Analysis: Analyse current workflows and processes to identify improvements.
- Solution Design: Propose IT solutions that meet the business's needs.
- Project Management: Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring IT projects, ensuring timely delivery.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business and IT teams, facilitating clear communication.
- Testing and Validation: Oversee testing processes to ensure solutions meet requirements and function effectively.
- Training and Support: Provide training to end-users on new systems and processes.
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Solid understanding of IT systems, software development, and database management.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy in documentation and solution implementation.
- Adaptability to changing business needs.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with supply chain management systems such as Cargowise One, Oracle SCM, or similar.
- Knowledge of middleware platforms like Boomi, IBM WebSphere, or Oracle Fusion Middleware.
- Familiarity with business analysis certifications (BCS, CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
