Applause IT are proud to be working with an established SME managed services provider, who are looking to add a 2^nd Line Engineer, with opportunity to upskill into 3^rd line, within a Microsoft tech stack and having prior experience in a managed service environment.

The chosen 2^nd Line Engineer will assume the role of delivering technical assistance to our clients. This entails tasks such as diagnosing and resolving issues, setting up, configuring, and upkeeping hardware and software elements, overseeing user and device management, addressing technical queries, and resolving problems.

The successful 2^nd Line Engineer should have experience and exposure with the following:

• 3-5 years' experience in IT and prior experience within a managed services provider

• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012 -2022, Office 365, SCCM (or similar), Active Directory, InTune.
• Be able to configure PCs and cloud support services primarily within Azure
• Prior Antivirus/Spam Filter/Backup knowledge or experience
• Update the ticketing system, ensuring the call has been logged and all notes, progress and required actions have been input promptly and accurately using Autotask, IT Glue & Datto RMM.
• Networking fundamentals experience including prior knowledge of Ubiquiti and Draytek, to setup VPNs, WIFI Access points, multi connections.
• Virtualisation - Hyper-V preferentially
• VoIP / Telecoms experience - ideally using 3CX and HV-Select.
• An ability to explain technical problems in a simple way to end users at all levels within the business.
• DBS checked (or will be prior to job offer)
• Microsoft Certifications (Min Fundamentals required):
• Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (previously known as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate)

• You must be in possession of a clean UK driving license - as trips to customer sites is required.
