Applause IT are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join a leading learning provider, supporting individuals in achieving their career goals through flexible education.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be a crucial member of a small, collaborative cross-functional team, working on digital transformation projects. This role is ideal for someone passionate about frontend development, with a focus on CSS architecture, JavaScript frameworks, UI/UX design, and component-based development.

Responsibilities:

✅ Lead frontend development on e-commerce and digital learning platforms
✅ Build and maintain reusable, high-quality UI components
✅ Work with Remix.run, Shopify's Hydrogen, Sanity, Storybook, Prisma, and Planetscale
✅ Champion best practices in frontend development, code quality, and testing
✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales
✅ Mentor junior developers and contribute to hiring efforts

Requirements:

✔️ 4+ years of experience in React and TypeScript
✔️ Strong skills in HTML, CSS/SCSS, UI/UX design, and accessibility
✔️ Experience with Shopify, headless CMS (Sanity.io), JAMstack, and CI/CD workflows
✔️ Familiarity with monorepos (Nx, Turbo), package managers (Yarn/NPM), and task runners (Vite, ESBuild)
✔️ Knowledge of API integration, performance optimisation, and testing strategies
