About this job

Data Analytics Engineer

Remote | Up to £50,000 | Power BI | SQL | Snowflake | Python

Are you a Power BI specialist who enjoys solving data challenges and building reporting that genuinely influences business decisions?

We're partnering with one of the UK's leading providers of specialist care, education and healthcare services as they continue to invest in their data and analytics capability. Following significant investment in a modern data platform, they're looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to help drive the next phase of their data transformation.

This is an opportunity to join a growing analytics team where you'll initially support the migration of healthcare data into a new Snowflake environment before playing a wider role in developing reporting and analytics across the entire organisation.

The Role

You'll combine strong Power BI development skills with solid SQL and data engineering knowledge to deliver high-quality reporting and help shape a modern analytics platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models.
  • Building robust data models and DAX measures.
  • Extracting, transforming and preparing data using SQL and ETL processes.
  • Supporting the migration of data into a modern Snowflake platform.
  • Working closely with stakeholders across Finance, HR, Operations and Care to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Helping improve data quality, governance and reporting standards.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working across both reporting and data engineering, and who can communicate confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

You'll ideally have experience with:

  • Power BI (dashboard development, data modelling and DAX).
  • SQL / SQL Server.
  • ETL processes and data transformation.
  • Python for automation or data processing.
  • Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
  • Translating business requirements into meaningful reporting solutions.

Experience within healthcare, social care or other regulated industries would be beneficial but isn't essential.

Why Apply?

This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation investing heavily in its data function, where you'll have the chance to influence how data is managed and reported across a national business.

You'll benefit from:

  • Fully remote working, with only occasional visits to the West Midlands.
  • Salary up to £50,000.
  • A major data transformation programme using Snowflake and modern analytics technologies.
  • Exposure to both business intelligence and data engineering.
  • Excellent long-term development opportunities as the data function continues to evolve.

If you're passionate about Power BI, enjoy working with data, and want to play a key role in a growing analytics team, we'd love to hear from you.
