About this job
Data & Analytics Lead – Snowflake
Remote| United Kingdom| £75,000 – £85,000 + Benefits
Take ownership of a growing data function – and help shape what comes next.
We’re partnering with a growing organisation in the care and education sector that is investing in how it uses data across the business.
They’re now looking for a Data & Analytics Lead with strong Snowflake, SQL and Power BI experience to take ownership of their evolving data landscape.
This isn't a role where you'll simply inherit a finished data platform and keep the lights on.
You'll have the opportunity to help shape the organisation's data warehouse strategy, architecture, reporting capability and data standards, working closely with senior leadership while remaining hands-on technically.
The opportunity
Sitting at the intersection of data engineering, analytics and leadership, you'll take responsibility for developing a modern, scalable data environment.
Snowflake will be an important part of that journey.
You'll design and improve data pipelines and models, evolve the reporting environment through Power BI and ensure teams across the organisation can access reliable, meaningful data.
You'll also:
- Lead the development of the organisation’s data warehouse and reporting strategy
- Build and optimise solutions using Snowflake and SQL
- Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models
- Develop reporting and analytics through Power BI
- Connect data across finance, operations, compliance and quality
- Drive improvements around data governance, quality and accuracy
- Translate requirements from non-technical stakeholders into effective data solutions
- Mentor and develop a small, growing data team
- Influence future tooling, architecture and data best practices
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical data engineering skills with the ability to understand how data can solve wider business problems.
You'll ideally have:
- Strong commercial Snowflake experience
- Advanced SQL and data warehousing knowledge
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data models
- Strong Power BI experience
- A background spanning data engineering and analytics
- Experience owning or significantly influencing data platforms
- The ability to communicate effectively with senior and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in an SME, growing business or evolving data environment
Experience with TimeXtender or comparable ETL/data integration technology would be advantageous but isn't essential.
Why join?
This is an opportunity to have a visible impact on how an organisation uses its data.
You'll have the autonomy to improve existing solutions, introduce better ways of working and help determine what the future data platform looks like – with direct access to the people making the decisions.
If you're looking for a role where you can combine Snowflake, data engineering and analytics with genuine technical ownership, we'd be keen to hear from you.
