Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + Benefits

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer to join a rapidly expanding business. Our client offers cleverly engineered and integrated solutions in Door Entry, Access Control, CCTV, Home Automation and Anti-Intrusion software.

Working as a Senior Software Engineer you will be instrumental to the team in architecting new software projects and guiding the team through the chosen technologies. You'll be exposed to all the latest technologies focused on Microsoft .NET and JavaScript frameworks. This job will involve expanding the software function within the business, working with colleagues overseas and starting a new team in a remote development centre. You will be responsible for managing and leading the team, building relationships, mentoring and coaching and ensuring the team KPI's are achieved and the team have the support needed to excel in their roles. Travel will be expected as necessary to support the overseas team when an overnight stay may be required.

Responsibilities include...

• Day to day running of the software team, managing tasks and the operations of the team.
• Support and guide software engineers on day-to-day events.
• Developer writing and reviewing code for our mainline products.
• Monitor and review workload within the team to ensure deadlines are met.
• Communicate business objectives to the team and provide updates.
• Develop and support team members.
• Assist in forging good working relationships with the overseas team and open lines of communication.
• Work closely with the head of engineering to provide feedback, and communicate set objectives.
• Delivering complex software integration programmes and products.
• Supporting System tests and integration activities.

Essential Skills:

• Strong communication skills for coordinating with remote teams.
• Expertise in Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET Framework/.NET Core and ASP.Net.
• Experience with SQL Server and Typescript.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of Docker and REST APIs.
• Experience with IoT development and an understanding of embedded devices.
