The Opportunity

We’re working with an established business looking to add an organised and proactive Office & Buying Administrator to its Commercial team.

This is a varied position combining office administration, purchasing, customer support and logistics, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a broad workload rather than being limited to traditional administrative duties.

Working closely with the Commercial Director and wider team, you’ll play an important role in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly – from purchasing requirements for customer orders and organising shipments through to supporting customers and coordinating general office activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing, ordering and maintaining office supplies and equipment

  • Carrying out purchasing requirements for customer orders

  • Handling incoming calls, emails and correspondence

  • Organising the shipping of goods

  • Providing after-sales support and responding to customer enquiries

  • Assisting with scheduling and booking business travel

  • Supporting internal reporting around waste and travel statistics

  • Ensuring activities are completed in line with company policies and procedures

  • Managing and prioritising multiple ongoing administrative and purchasing tasks

What We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally have previous experience within an administrative or customer support environment, alongside strong organisational skills and the confidence to manage a varied workload.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Previous administration and/or customer support experience

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Confidence using your own judgement and recognising when issues need escalating

  • A collaborative and flexible approach to working within a smaller business environment

  • Previous experience with financial systems would be advantageous

What’s On Offer?

Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll receive:

  • 25 days' annual leave, increasing with long service

  • 6% employer pension contribution after three months

  • Life Insurance

  • Private Medical Insurance after one year's continuous service

  • Employee Assistance Programme, including 24/7 GP and support resources

  • Free onsite parking

  • Flexible working

Interested?

If you’re an organised and proactive administrator looking for a role with greater variety and exposure across purchasing, customer support, logistics and commercial operations, we’d love to hear from you.
