We’re working with an established business looking to add an organised and proactive Office & Buying Administrator to its Commercial team.
This is a varied position combining office administration, purchasing, customer support and logistics, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a broad workload rather than being limited to traditional administrative duties.
Working closely with the Commercial Director and wider team, you’ll play an important role in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly – from purchasing requirements for customer orders and organising shipments through to supporting customers and coordinating general office activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing, ordering and maintaining office supplies and equipment
Carrying out purchasing requirements for customer orders
Handling incoming calls, emails and correspondence
Organising the shipping of goods
Providing after-sales support and responding to customer enquiries
Assisting with scheduling and booking business travel
Supporting internal reporting around waste and travel statistics
Ensuring activities are completed in line with company policies and procedures
Managing and prioritising multiple ongoing administrative and purchasing tasks
You’ll ideally have previous experience within an administrative or customer support environment, alongside strong organisational skills and the confidence to manage a varied workload.
We’re looking for someone with:
Previous administration and/or customer support experience
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong time management and prioritisation skills
A proactive approach to problem-solving
Confidence using your own judgement and recognising when issues need escalating
A collaborative and flexible approach to working within a smaller business environment
Previous experience with financial systems would be advantageous
