Cloud systems are becoming increasingly popular, as is the desire for an integrated approach to software delivery. This has led to the rapid emergence of DevOps roles, both in emerging start-ups and multinationals.

Unlike IT positions such as Software Engineering and Data Analysis, DevOps isn’t easily definable as a discipline. It’s a mindset, formed from the encouraged collaboration between the development team and the IT operations team in order to streamline the software development process. A DevOps Engineer’s role is to overcome conflicting priorities between teams and manage the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), with the goal of automating as many processes as possible in order to improve efficiency.

A DevOps Engineer will make use of a variety of tools and technologies to automate the software development process, including continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines (CI/CD). This involves merging your continuous integration and continuous delivery practices, to ensure that your software releases are frequent, reliable, and encompass all your developers’ work. DevOps work may also involve the use of platforms, tools, and systems such as Docker, Kubernetes, Nagios, Octopus, Jira, and more.

Roles we recruit for include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Azure DevOps Engineer
  • AWS DevOps Engineer (Amazon Web Services)
  • GCP DevOps Engineer (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Site Reliability Engineer
  • Platform Engineer
  • Infrastructure Engineer
